Yesterday evening 20.00 CET, the new version of our Physical Asset Management Solution (PAM) was launched. All headquarter users will automatically receive this newest product version (i.e. previous version will be updated) with first sign on to the application, all vessels and plants are going to obtain this same version with next synchronisation.

MESPAS PAM Santa Luzia incorporates – on top of some minor enhancements - some additional integration possibilities and new, customized components. SBM News

This enhanced SBM version comes with new features inspired by feedback of you, our customers; such as the new functionality to browse between related business objects (requests for quotation, respective offer and order) or the mass archiving feature for your obsolete business objects. Of course we have also implemented some home-grown ideas – one of those has led to the messaging feature, where we have realized a direct communication channel from MESPAS to you; you will get in touch with this new feature immediately after your first login to the new version.

All headquarter users signing in as of today will automatically receive this newest product version (i.e. previous version will be updated), all vessels and branches are going to obtain this same version with next synchronisation.

MESPAS PAM Release Mauritius comes up with various new features, such as synchronisation insights with regard to vessels and branch installations, simplified inventory management by fully integrated barcode functionality and further accessibility of critical maintenance- and business-insights for external parties, such as classification companies or asset owners. Since going live in beginning of February 2016, several hundred purchase requests and orders have been processed over MESPAS Mobile. Especially, superintendents benefit from the ergonomic usability, enabled by the solution on their mobile device. Business critical decisions are taken location-independently from all around the world. Not only procurement information is instantly available, but also information about remaining budgets, vessel positions, and contact details.

This is an important milestone towards further optimization of our supply chain integration concept. We look forward to an again increased quote of orders processed completely online. Thus helping our suppliers to reduce transaction cost, increase visibility and – on the other hand - ensuring automated offer comparison, financial control and stock management for our joint customer community. Furthermore the new application look and feel and its architecture lays the basis for the upcoming MESPAS product portfolio enhancements.

MESPAS expands product portfolio: By realising a Lean Procurement Front End to access our trading platform, we will open the straight through purchasing functionality also for non-MESPAS customers. Send quote requests to more than 10’000 listed suppliers or register your preferred vendors, compare offers, send orders – online, all over the world.

Furthermore – in collaboration with a globally acting manufacturer – MESPAS will ease integration also for vendors running their individual backend infrastructure, such as SAP. By providing an Application Programming Interface (API) to transfer objects (requests, offers, orders, confirmations, etc.) between your individual ERP solutions and our MEPSAS trading platform, straight through processing will not end at the system boundary anymore.

Version 1.0 of both, the Purchasing Solution and the Integration API’s is to be expected before end of 2016.
