The European Union has defined a new regulation 2015/757 for the shipping industry; known as MRV regulation. MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) basically addresses greenhouse gas emission – targeting a transparent view on shipping industry emission in a first phase and obviously, a reduction in a second phase. The first MRV regulation implementation milestone, relevant for fleet-managers and fleet-owners, is scheduled for August 2017 already.

Furthermore, as of beginning 2019, the IMO will require MRV like reporting of greenhouse gas emissions globally. Thus, these initiatives are relevant for you, no matter where your vessels are operated.

Here is the good news: MESPAS decided to cover both regulations completely. Therefore, no need for you to validate 3rd party solutions; your vessel crews and office staff will be able to cover the new regulatory requirements with the product they are already familiar with, MESPAS PAM.

Launch of the new functionality is planned for April 2017. Further details about functionality, associated services and pricing will be unveiled soon. Like to learn more? Don’t hesitate to contact us.

SBM News

The new version 2.0 of Supplier Business Management (SBM) implements a strategic enhancement of the MESPAS philosophy: the opening of the MESPAS Supply Chain Management to all players in the maritime industry.

You as a supplier typically receive up to 80% of the customer inquiries via email. SBM 2.0 allows for integrating such requests – and to ensure a structured, fast and standardized response to your customers. Define your offer structure, corporate identity, business terms, legal disclaimers and more just once – and use it in all your correspondence with customers. Hereby ensure business overview; open inquiries, open offers, transaction volumes with a certain customer and much more with just one tool, the MESPAS SBM.

You as a fleet manager might be happy with your present fleet management application – although not provided by MESPAS. However, you probably are looking for reduced procurement transaction cost and fail-safe communication with your suppliers by a digital, online integration of these business partners? Then have a look at our new Buyer Plugin, an MTML adaptor, allowing to connect most relevant fleet management applications in the market with the MESPAS Supply Chain Management e-commerce platform.

Last weekend we successfully migrated to brand new ICT infrastructure – secure, offering leading edge failover concepts and providing further optimized application performance. We have announced a maximum downtime of 48 hours during the weekend, but we were back online with our software products far ahead of schedule, already on Saturday evening.

Thanks to all that have made this great success possible; to our ICT operations team, to the testers in Switzerland, Americas and Asia, and in particular a great 'thank you!' to our customers, for their patience and trust.

Let us apologize again for inconveniences this planned service interruption might have caused to you.
